For many applications, TeleMagic 5 still provides the best value (Bang for the Buck) for a totally customizable contact centered database.
It's a totally different thing to work with a software system that is designed to adapt to your changing needs, vs trying to fit your process into some one elses idea of how it should work.

If you've havent heard anything lately about TeleMagic, except that it is dead, and that you should get Act or Sales logix, or one of the others, read on.
Now that TeleMagic is dead, they (Best Software)have sold more licenses in the last quarter than ever. Pretty good for discontinued, er dead, er, I mean, stable software.
TeleMagic is still one of the best bang for the buck, customizable, contact-centric software packages available.
There are hundreds of titles in this market, I mean, literally hundreds, of approaches to preprogrammed canned contact management. You can call it opportunity management, sales force automation, outbound marketing or a human resource application. All applications that are centered on contacts and why they are important to your company are candidates for TeleMagic.
Even MicroSoft has 5 or more entries. How do you choose? Some programs that offer customizability are absolutely, outrageously, often unaffordably expensive, All programs have a feature list that sounds like it can handle the job. Some work for awhile, then fail because they lack customizability, force your business into a mode of pre-programmed operation. If the shoe fits, great, otherwise you end up with a boat anchor. Custom software is usually very expensive. Or perhaps you've settled for Act! or Goldmine.
