System Requirements for TeleMagic 4.x and TeleMagic Net Client 4.5 The requirement for TM4 and TMNC are entirely different. TeleMagic Enterprise uses NT as a file server and requires no processing power from the Server since the workstations are responsible for processing. A typical setting for small Network environment is:= PII 233, PIII-450 recommended 64mb of memory minimum, 128 mb recommended 100 Mbits Network Card, 100 mbits switched hubs preferred Fast Ultra Wide SCSI HD TeleMagic NetClient on other hand is a Client/Server Application and relies on the Server's processing power. In this environment, the faster the system and the more memory the better it will perform. After reviewing some of the newsgroup articles, I found that most MIS require 256mb and recommend 512mb of memory on their Web Server. TeleMagic NetClient is also similar to Citrix operation where each Client uses its own memory space especially when the LAN option is used. My recommendation would be a PIII-450 or faster with 256MB of ram. I don't see any problem with using one Server for both TeleMagic Databases and also for NetClient Gateway as long as there are no other NT processes are running. In a larger environment, it is always recommended the NetClient Gateway to be installed on one Server and TM database installed on another. Keep in mind that as you add more Remote users, you can always add additional Gateways to balance the load.
